Ghana Tema port is one of the most important hub of international trade and sea-going transportation. The Golden Jubilee Terminal (GJT) is an inland clearance depot (ICD) located on the western end of the Port of Tema. The facility spans an area of 97,412 square meters and comprises a container freight station (CFS), a state warehouse, car park and an open area for un-stuffing and storage of containers, banking services and customs and security services.
GJT provides receipt storage and delivery services for containers. The terminal responsible for receiving and delivering vehicles imported in containers and provides this service in tandem with handling and delivering full container loads (FCL), less than full container loads (LCL) and house-to-house receipts and deliveries. Container, coal, iron ore, crude oil, grain, fertilizer, alumina, cement, wheat flour, sodium carbonate, rubber, pulp, cotton, ironware, lumber and extra-large shipment are the major cargo types which go through Tema port.
